My Side Of The Bars

My Side Of The Bars is the book I wrote. It is a totally different perspective about prison. I was a Forensic Psychiatric Nurse in an all male maximum security prison in New York State. The book is from my perspective with my opinions, It reveals the criminal mind at work in all its manipulations, selfishness, and lack of remorse. It reveals how the manipulative behavior of the inmates is condoned versus being corrected. It reveals the bureaucratic incompetence of the state system. It shows the lack of rehabilitation and how the system actually sets up anyone released from prison for failure. It shows that although there are many hard working dedicated employees, there are also incompetent and inept persons who are never held accountable or fired. They are just transferred to another facility. It shows how in the over all picture our present prison system in New York State puts staff, inmates, and ultimately society itself in danger. Read it if you dare. You can purchase the book at www.amazon.com:mysideofthebars:cleodunnit:books You can also purchase at the following site and read an excerpt from the book. 5. Debby, as you know, I worked in a prison system for almost three decades. When I read your book that was compelling and gripping and very informative, I was glad that you told what really goes on behind those prison walls. I would recommend your book, "My Side Of The Bars" to any one, especially Correctional Officers and professional Medical staff working in those dangerous prisons.

Best of luck on your future endeavors.

  6. John, Once again your valued opinion is greatly appreciated. Especially based on your recent technological difficulties. Have you ever noticed the printed word is wonderful? It is completely void of any accent. Maybe some very large computer companies should consider going back to the printed word through something that has become antiquated. Like a written manual with an extended Trouble Shooting section.
