Call For Ideas

If you are interested in books about prison I recommend you read Hell Behind Prison Walls and The Devil's Den. Both are written by John Pecchio. John is a friend of mine. Both his books are truthful and an excellent read. Both John and I are always looking for ways to spread the word about what our prison system is really like. We are also looking for ways to get others involved in spreading the word and possibly working with us to change the system. I do realize it might be considered idealistic to think we can make a change, but I am an optimist and I think one person can make a difference. However there is power in numbers. So if you have any ideas that can help spread the word and maybe make a difference, let me know. I am open to any and all ideas.

Coming Events

I am very happy to announce that on April 1, 2009 I will be a guest on the Bobby Ozuna internet radio show. Further information will follow. Thanks Cleo Dunnit

My Side Of The Bars

My Side Of The Bars is the book I wrote. It is a totally different perspective about prison. I was a Forensic Psychiatric Nurse in an all male maximum security prison in New York State. The book is from my perspective with my opinions, It reveals the criminal mind at work in all its manipulations, selfishness, and lack of remorse. It reveals how the manipulative behavior of the inmates is condoned versus being corrected. It reveals the bureaucratic incompetence of the state system. It shows the lack of rehabilitation and how the system actually sets up anyone released from prison for failure. It shows that although there are many hard working dedicated employees, there are also incompetent and inept persons who are never held accountable or fired. They are just transferred to another facility. It shows how in the over all picture our present prison system in New York State puts staff, inmates, and ultimately society itself in danger. Read it if you dare. You can purchase the book at www.amazon.com:mysideofthebars:cleodunnit:books You can also purchase at the following site and read an excerpt from the book.
